Carol, Office Manager

Carol is the office manager for Dr. Stanford. She has been with Aurora Foot and Ankle Clinic since the Langley practice opened its doors for patients back in 2015. She has over 10 years’ experience in office management and enjoys working with Dr. Stanford and their wonderful patients.

She lives in Langley with her husband and 3 awesome children. She loves being active and often finds other fellow active patients when either walking, running or cycling around the Langley neighbourhood. She is happy to be part of a great medical team and to assist patients in any way possible.

Dr. Royden Stanford

Dr. Royden J. Stanford grew up in Calgary, Alberta.  He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate studies, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition in 2004.  His graduate research project studied the effects of magnesium deficiency on cognitive development and hearing.

Dr. Stanford obtained his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio in 2008.  He proceeded to complete a three year surgical residency at the Cleveland Louis Stokes Veteran’s Affairs Hospital, again in Cleveland, Ohio.  His residency training involved providing instructions to students, and had an emphasis on reconstructive surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, trauma, sports medicine, wound care, and infectious disease and limb salvage. 

Upon completion of residency training in 2011, Dr. Stanford joined the doctors of Capital Foot and Ankle Care Centre of Southern Maryland and enjoyed private clinical practice in 5 area clinics, as well as extensive elective surgical cases performed at the groups Surgical Center located in Great Mills. 

Dr. Stanford relocated briefly to Memphis, Tennessee to work alongside the doctors of the Mid-South Foot & Ankle Clinic prior to making his final relocation here to Langley, British Columbia. 

Dr. Stanford is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the College of Podiatric Surgeons of British Columbia, is an Associate of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgery, a member of the American Association of Podiatric Practice Management, and is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.  He has special certification for wound care by Healogics, and published an article entitled “Marjolin’s Ulcer of the Leg Secondary to Nonhealing Chronic Venous Stasis Ulcer” in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in 2012. 

Dr. Stanford is excited to be closer to his two sisters and their respective families in Langley.  He is a former competitive bodybuilder, CrossFit enthusiast, enjoys strength and conditioning training and coaching, is a former Ski Patroller, former competitive cyclist, and Chief Scout.  He enjoys being active, especially in the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
